After graduating from the Copenhagen School of Fine Arts in 1910, Bojesen worked for several renowned Danish design companies, before founding his own firm in 1932. He created a large number of wooden toys during his career, including monkeys, bears, rabbits, dogs and horses, all characterized by their clean design and high quality craftsmanship.

Bojesen also created a number of other wooden objects, such as trays, cutlery and clocks. He won several awards for his creations, including a silver medal at the 1937 Exposition Universelle in Paris.

Today, Kay Bojesen's wooden toys have become icons of Danish design, and are highly appreciated by collectors and design enthusiasts the world over.
