The Whoppah Chat is the main way for buyers and sellers to communicate directly within the platform. It helps you ask questions, arrange details, and solve problems quickly and safely.
When should you contact the seller or buyer via chat?
General product questions: Ask about the condition, details, or any uncertainties before buying.
Transport arrangements: If “Pick up” is selected, coordinate where and when to meet.
Bidding process: Discuss offers or negotiate prices if applicable.
Disputes or damages: If the item is shipped by the seller and there’s a problem (e.g., damage or not as described), use the chat to communicate first.
How do you know when you have a new message?
Whoppah sends notifications within your account and via email to alert you of new messages.
You can also enable push notifications if using the app.
Sometimes it may take a while for the other party to respond, please be patient and check your messages regularly.
What should you avoid doing in the chat?
Do not share sensitive personal information like full addresses, payment details, or bank info outside of the secure platform.
Avoid taking conversations outside Whoppah before a sale is complete, this helps keep your transaction secure and protected.
Be respectful and polite. Harassment or abusive language is not tolerated and can lead to account suspension.
It is also against our policy to accept payments outside of our platform, such as via PayPal, Tikkie, cash, or bank transfer. All payments must be made online through Whoppah.
If you experience any issues or delays in communication, you can always contact Whoppah Support for help at support@whoppah.com.
