Antique Leather Settee Sofa - Arts & Crafts Two Seater Club Seat Chair Vintage A vintage Arts & Crafts influenced two-seater settee with genuine brown leather upholstery, stud detailing, and loose feather-filled cushions. This handsome and characterful piece is ideal for a living room, study, or country house interior, offering both comfort and timeless style. The sofa displays a heavily worn, distressed patina with decades of honest wear, giving it superb rustic, country house character, and it would be ideal for restoration or for those who appreciate a genuinely timeworn look. Constructed with a solid timber frame upholstered in genuine brown leather with traditional close-nailed studwork. The seat retains its original sprung construction with traditional webbing and coil springs beneath, while the seat base has been re-covered in brown fabric. Likely dating from the 1920s to 1940s with a strong Arts & Crafts influence. Condition: In heavily used vintage condition. The leather shows age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, creasing, and cracking, particularly on the arm tops, corners, and edges. The seat base has been re-covered, while the loose cushions appear to be later replacements and show staining and general wear. General marks and wear to the legs and underside consistent with age and use. The traditional sprung seat remains in place with its original webbing and coil springs beneath the later seat covering. The settee remains solid and comfortable. Having been stored for some time, the sofa is dusty, marked, and in need of a very thorough clean, presenting an ideal opportunity for restoration.
