We understand how frustrating it can be when a buyer doesn't follow through with their agreement. We believe in 'deal is a deal' and urge buyers to complete their payment as soon as a deal has been made. However, while these are our terms of use, we cannot legally enforce them as they are not part of consumer law. All we can do is repeatedly request the buyer to follow our terms and possibly close their account if they repeatedly fail to comply. Please note that we cannot force a buyer to make a payment and sometimes external factors may delay their response.
Managing Bids and Cancellations:
If you have enabled bidding on your ad, buyers can submit a bid. Upon receiving a bid, you will be notified via WhatsApp, email, and chat (if enabled). You can accept, reject, or counter the bid, and the buyer will be notified of your decision. Once you accept a bid, the buyer has 48 hours to complete the purchase. Note that your item isn't reserved and other buyers can still make bids until the item is purchased. If a bid is accepted and the item is paid for, it's considered a final deal.
Buyer wants to cancel a bid
If a bid is cancelled, especially after you've accepted it, we ask the buyer for their reason for cancellation. This feedback helps us improve our platform and minimize future cancellations. Remember, your item remains available for other buyers until the payment is completed.
Go to your account, click on 'My ads' and click on the edit icon of the desired ad. Under the heading 'Price' you can disable bids.
As a seller, you have the ability to set the minimum amount for your item. When you receive an offer, you can accept it by clicking on the green check mark. If you wish to decline a bid, click on the red cross. You can make a counter-offer by stating an amount in the 'Counter-bid' window. Once you accept an offer as a seller, the deal is sealed and your item is sold! Please note that the minimum price you set is not fixed and can be negotiated with potential buyers. However, it is a guide for buyers and can influence the initial bids you receive.

As a private individual, you do not pay VAT on your sales. As a business seller in the Netherlands, you pay 21% VAT on the fee (i.e. not on the full sales amount).
Are you a business seller outside the Netherlands and do you have a valid VAT number? Then you do not pay VAT based on the reverse charge mechanism. Please ensure your VAT number is correctly entered in your account details to avoid any unnecessary charges.
When you're operating outside of the Netherlands and you don't have a EU VAT number, we charge a 16% fee plus 21% VAT. For example: you sell an item for 100 euro. This means that the pay out is €80,64.
