Wall / Ceiling Light / Lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips in Red on White intended to be ceiling mounted (flush) (i.e. plafonnière), but is shown as a pendant/hanging lamp due the lack of ceilings in our warehouse also VERY interesting when mounted as a wall lamp UFO or flying saucer shape, perforated,theperforations give a nice light effect Louis Kalff later designed The Evoluon, a large discus-shaped building in the Dutch city of Eindhoven which opened in 1966. these were meant to have the large half mirrored bulb (sorry, our customers keep taking them) powder-coated metal E27 porcelain fitting has the original red and gold Philips decal on top in case you have a surface mounted cable the original knock-out is still present Dutch Design! industrial, vintage, retro, mid-century modern 50s, 1950s, fifties
