Vaso a palla (Rimini Blu 999-153)
The Rimini Blu ceramics collection was conceived in the early 1950s by Aldo Londi, then art director at Bitossi. The unique characteristic color scheme is the most important feature of this collection. The coloring in various shades of blue is enhanced by brushstrokes of green and yellow. The surface of the clay is intentionally irregular and decorated with small interwoven geometric patterns. The special combination of smooth and decorated surface has a textile-like appearance and evokes the movement and shimmer of the sea in the sun. The shapes are simple, almost naive: animals, vases, jugs, bowls, and many other decorative pieces for the interior. Today, the Rimini Blu collection is regularly the subject of research due to its artistic value, stylish charm, and historical importance. Each piece bears the Bitossi stamp, a guarantee of Italian production quality, handcrafted and glazed. Each piece is delivered with box, certificate of authenticity and appropriate care.
