Produced predominately for schools in the 1960s and 1970s throughout the Netherlands, this chair has a particularly strong relationship with Dutch residents as it was a daily part of their lives growing up.” -text: Hay (who now make these in conjunction with Ahrend) The Result chair is a further refinement of the Revolt chair (1953), it’s design adapted for manufacturing simplification: easier=faster production; you stamp out some shapes, spot-weld together, paint, rivet on the seat and back and done! white seat and back of ciranol (early HPL) with textured surface and black core black powder-coated folded sheet steel frame spot welded together this is an early chair in a rare colour combination this chairhas been left out in the rain and has lots of patina; there are some cracks in the ciranol elements retro vintage school seating mid-century modern, 50s, 1950s, fifties
