Castelli Piretti Axis 3000 6 seat Bench in blue name: Axis 3000 bench designer: GiancarloPiretti manufacturer: AnonimaCastelli,Italy design year:1970s The DSC 106 chair from 1965 was redesigned begin seventies and became a modular system with seats and small tables on a steel beam. Frequently used in waiting-rooms; doctor, dentist and airport. polished cast aluminium parts on a steel beam upholstered with a hard wearing woven fabric in nice middle blue; in good vintage condition, the occasional stain the row has a slight bend as you would expect for theater/theatre, cinema or auditorium seating the seats are spring loaded, they don’t stay down by themselves; except for one seat which does stay down these are meant to be bolted to the floor, we have temporarily added wood to the bases so that they don’t tip over in our store we had two nearly identical rows in blue, one with blue upholstered armrests (6 seats, last 3 photos) and one with black plastic armrests (5 seats), now sold mid-century modern, vintage, retro 1970s, seventies, flip-up the 6 seat is 336 cm wide the 5 seat is 283 cm wide
