Armchair by Architect AA Patijn for Zijlstra, Joure (ladies model) RARE; these were exclusive and expensive Dutch Design! we think European Pear wood, in any case solid hardwood coloured blond the beautifully shaped and carvedswoopyarmrests loops around and crosses itself,one end becoming the back leg, the other the back support splayed legs old fashioned sprung construction, with springs we rarely get the history of a piece but this is clearly newly upholstered, it looks never to have been sat on, maybe the look wasn’t what they expected/wanted? mid-century modern, vintage, retro 50s, 1950s, fifties,easy lounge chair, seating
